How leaderboards and Launch of the Week work

Three ranking systems catalogue the launches on Debut Directory: votes, paid position and domain authority. The community's top entries earn weekly badges.

Three catalogue records

Debut Directory maintains three leaderboards, each ordered by different criteria. All are updated in real time.

The Community leaderboard ranks every launch by votes alone. Visitors search by year, category and founder; the community decides the order through voting.

The Billboard is a paid ranking. Launches here are clearly marked as Sponsored and arranged by money contributed, with a minimum entry of $5. This funding supports the catalogue itself.

The Domain Rating leaderboard arranges launches by their Ahrefs Domain Rating, showing the trend since the last check (up, down or unchanged) and recording both the check date and the date the trend shifted.

Launch of the Week

Each calendar week (Monday to Sunday, UTC), the top 3 launches by community vote are automatically awarded a Launch of the Week badge once the week closes. The award recognises the entries that visitors most valued that week.

Winners are notified by email. These badges appear on each entry's card in the catalogue and serve as a permanent record of community recognition.

The order of winners comes entirely from your votes—not from paid placement or domain authority.

Questions people ask

Can I pay to appear on the leaderboards?
Yes. The Billboard leaderboard ranks launches by paid contribution, with a minimum of $5. All Billboard entries are clearly marked as Sponsored. Voting on the Community leaderboard cannot be purchased.
How do the Launch of the Week badges work?
The top 3 launches by votes each week receive a badge automatically. The badge is awarded after the week (Monday to Sunday, UTC) closes, and winners are emailed.
What is the Domain Rating leaderboard?
It ranks launches by their Ahrefs Domain Rating, showing whether the rating has moved up, down or stayed level since the last check. It records the date checked and the date the trend changed.
