About Hardware, IoT & Devices
This drawer holds the debuts you can pick up, plug in or mount on a wall, along with the software that keeps those objects talking. Each listing is an index card: what the product is, who made it, and where to find it. Browse by subcategory, or work through the whole drawer with the filters.
Every listing sits under exactly one main category, chosen by the founder at submission and included free, so a smart thermostat is filed in one place and not scattered across several. A paid upgrade can add more categories where a product truly straddles two. Cards appear newest first by default, and visitors can re-sort by community votes. Votes can never be bought.
Hardware is slow to make and easy to misjudge from a photograph, so read the card closely. Check what the device does without an app, how it connects, and who maintains the software behind it.

Hardware, IoT & Devices: questions answered
- What belongs in Hardware, IoT & Devices?
- Products that are physical objects, or the platforms that run and connect them. That covers handheld gadgets, home devices, sensor and fleet management software, and robots. Pure software with no device behind it belongs in another category.
- How do I choose between Smart home and IoT platforms?
- File under Smart home if the buyer is a household using the device in a living space. File under IoT platforms if the buyer is a builder or business who needs tooling to connect, monitor or update many devices.
- How do I get my device listed here?
- Go to /submit and paste your website address. An AI drafts the profile from that site, and you check and edit every field before anything goes live. Choose this category as your main one. A paid launch costs $5; a free listing waits about 6-8 weeks in the queue.
- How are listings ordered on this page?
- Newest first by default, so recent debuts sit at the front of the drawer. Visitors can sort by community votes instead. Votes can never be bought, so the order cannot be paid for.
- What should I compare when looking at devices?
- Look at how the device connects, whether it works without an account or app, how updates are delivered, and what the maker says about support. Cards link to the maker's own site, so check the detail there.
