Access debuts through the API or MCP protocol
Query the directory programmatically via REST, or connect an AI assistant to search and manage entries.
Updated
The REST catalogue
The directory is fully queryable at /api/v1, documented in OpenAPI 3.1 format at /api/v1/openapi.json. This endpoint lets you search launches, retrieve individual records and integrate debut data into your own applications. Full technical reference is at /developers.
Connect an AI assistant
AI assistants including Claude and ChatGPT can query the directory over the MCP protocol at /mcp. Your assistant can search across all public listings and read full entry details. If you grant permission, it can also draft new listings on your behalf and revise your existing cards.
Authentication
Two methods are supported. Use OAuth to sign in—your assistant will direct you to this site's login page. Alternatively, generate a personal API key from /account/developers. Keys display only once; we retain only an encrypted hash.
Payments and constraints
Rate limits and daily quotas govern API usage. Any charges proceed through this site's payment system, which returns a checkout link. Community voting is not available through the API; vote on the directory itself.
See /developers for implementation guidance and current quotas.
Questions people ask
- How do I give my AI assistant access to the directory?
- Enable MCP at /mcp, then sign in via OAuth when your assistant prompts you. Alternatively, create an API key at /account/developers and provide it to the assistant.
- Can I manage my own listings through the API?
- Yes, if you authorise it. Your assistant can draft and edit your cards with permission; all edits post under your account.
- Do API requests count towards usage limits?
- Yes. Rate limits and daily quotas apply to all API calls. See /developers for current thresholds.
